Speaking of keeping the momentum going, on the boys side, Dan Olson won his third meet in as many tries, finishing first overall in the boys race. Olson finished with a total run time of 55.24, two seconds better than Jeff Wolfe who finished second. In all, Chisago Lakes took the top four spots, easily defeating Irondale and Zimmerman. The Wildcats finished with 42 points. Irondale was second at 13.
In the girls race, Kate Kinzer, who won the overall title at last week’s Wild Mountain Invite, finished first for the second time this season, posting a combined time of 57.52. Behind her was five more Wildcats as Chisago packed the leaderboard, defeating Irondale 49-6. Sarah Bottjen finished second for the ‘Cats followed by Brianna Stoeckman and Simone Raedeke. To put things in perspective, Irondale finished with only two skiers placing in the top 10.
