The Chisago Cubs, a 14-year-old baseball traveling team from the Chisago Lakes area, capped off the 2004 season with a district title.

The Cubs, coached by Dave Johnson, Andrew Johnson, Tom Johnson, Joel Rivard, and Eric Berget, lost in the second round of the playoffs last week, falling to the Brooklyn Bulldogs. The Cubs finished the season 12-4 overall.

Among the teams they played this summer was Mahtomedi, White Bear Lake, New Brighton, Prescott, Hudson, Miesville and North Branch, as well as tournaments in Princeton and River Falls.
