The elections were heated battles, but now finally over
Congratulations to all the local elected politicians. There were many seats up for grabs, so in turn that made our local race very interesting. I’m sure that the people of Chisago County have made the right decisions in whom they elected. We look forward to covering all the progress these and other elected will hopefully make.
I recently heard that campaign spending for this presidential election will top $600 million. It just blows my mind how these politicians stand so firm against cutting the so called extra “fat” spending by our government, and at the same time they are spending millions upon millions on their campaigns.
This election sure was a heated one. As I am writing this column I have absolutely no idea who the winners are, but thank goodness it is over. I know I have written this before, but all the negativity that went along with this past election was really disappointing. Some day (maybe) there will be a politician that will concentrate on all the positives, and that will be the next elected official.
