The Shafer-based rolling 9-11 memorial attracted the attention of a German television production crew . The owners of the custom painted semi trailer truck John and Amy Holmgren and other locals were interviewed October 10. They will be featured in a special television show airing in Germany. WDR Television’s Ulrich Adrian was the talent visiting Shafer as part of the production effort.

The Holmgrens carry goods cross-country in their semi-trailer and have painted the entire rig as a tribute to the fire fighters, law enforcement and victims in the terrorist attacks.

The truck has the words Have You Forgotten along the side of the trailer, with artwork of the Twin Towers.

The Holmgrens have as a goal, to fly a special 9-11 flag over all fire departments in the nation. Victims’ names are on the white stripes of the flag. They started at the Shafer department.

In photos taken by Kim Stulc, the T.V. crew interviews Mike Vetter.

Posing with the 9-11 flag are; Tom Fredrickson, Mike Olmschenk, Mike Rubbelke, Vetter, Bob Nash, Matt McKenzie and Tyler, the Holmgrens and Sally Barott.
