Marian V. Gustafson, of Lindstrom, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2004, at her home at the age of 88.

Marian was born June 5, 1916, in Moline, Ill., to Ernest and Agnes Carlson. She graduated from high school in 1934. Sept. 21, 1940, she married Gordon W. Gustafson at First Ev. Free Church, in Moline, Ill. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining family and friends.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Helen Magnuson, Evelyn Oman and brother, Kenneth Carlson.

She is survived by her husband, Gordon; sons: Gerald and wife, Sandy, of Lindstrom; Thomas and wife, Sandy, of North Branch; Bruce and wife Rose, of Lindstrom; daughters: Regena and husband, Ron Gruening, of Lindstrom; Cheryl and husband, Boyd Barwin, of Lindstrom; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one niece.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Kost Ev. Free Church, with pastors Tom Mason and Tom Olson officiating. Music was provided by Ruth Bruns, Marlys Christopherson and Pam Theline. Interment in Kost Cemetery.
