He was born Aug. 8, 1922, to Ernest and Frances Cederholm of Lindstrom.
All of his life was spent in Lindstrom except for his time in the US Navy-1942-1946 when he served on a aircraft carrier in the Pacific.
He attended and graduated Lindstrom-Center City high school in 1940.
Upon discharge from the Navy, he took up farming, which he continued at his Sunrise Lake property until his health began to fail.
He married Mildred Seaman Aug. 6, 1955. Rodney enjoyed going to auctions and was a talented woodcarver.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Erwin.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mildred; son, David (Gerri); niece, LouAnn Stabb, relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom. Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral home in Lindstrom.
