In an effort to reach out to the girls’ youth hockey players in the Chisago Lakes and Pine City areas, the Chisago Lakes/Pine City Wildcats girls high school hockey team is having “Girls Youth Appreciation Night.”

All Chisago Lakes and Pine City girl youth hockey players are invited to attend the girls varsity hockey game against Cloquet December 22 at Chisago Lakes Arena. Game time is 7:30 p.m. The youth players should bring their skates, as they’ll chance to skate with the varsity players between the second and third periods of that night’s game.

This will be a great chance for the community and our high school girls to give the youth players some recognition,” said Shellee Parenteau, one of the event’s organizers. “The strength of the growing girls youth programs in the Chisago Lakes and Pine City areas are very important to the future success of our high school hockey program.”
