North Branch finished fifth and Chisago Lakes was sixth in the event.
Benilde-St. Margaret’s won the competition, followed by Totino-Grace. Irondale finished third and Spring Lake Park was fourth, just in front of the Vikings and Wildcats. St. Francis, Robbinsdale Cooper and Fridley took the final three spots.
“We had some falls and need to work out a few bugs. All in all, I feel the girls did an excellent job for only having four weeks of practice thus far. This meet was the earliest we've ever had in a season. Since then, we have been busy making some necessary changes to tweak up their dance even more. It's early in the season, and once we get this piece polished, you will see great things happening for this team,” said Wildcat dance team head coach Angie Bennett.
The next scheduled event for the Wildcat dancers is the North St. Paul Invitational December 17. The Vikings will compete in the Academy of Holy Angels Invitational the same day.
