Wildcat gymnastics enjoy successful stretch with the help of Britni Harris
Quad Meet - December 13
Wildcat head coach Brett Kjos, commenting on the quad home meet, said, “The girls did a great job against some really top-level teams. We scored a 129.500. Our highest score since February 2004. Even though we took fourth place, many of the girls set or tied their personal records during the meet. Alex Thomsen tied her record on the vault. Andrea Olson scored her first ever "8" on the beam. Britni Harris, Stephanie Boettcher, and Amanda Bergerson, all set personal records on the floor exercise. It really shows how hard the girls are working.”

Chisago Lakes Invitational
The Wildcats placed third in their own invitational Saturday, December 17. North Branch finished fifth.
“After a long week, the girls did a wonderful job. We placed third out of six teams. Even though we missed our goal score, we did well. However, the long week started to take its toll on both the beam and the floor. We could not stay on the beam. I believe we counted three full points on falls into our score. We can't have that if we want to get to the next level. We just will have to work harder during practice to start sticking our beam routines.
“It was nice to see Britni Harris win two events on Saturday. She won both the vault and uneven bars. Everyone is doing a great job,” said coach Kjos.

“Overall, I think the girls are doing an outstanding job. They are working hard in the gym to improve their scores and have done everything I have asked them to do. They are really starting to come-together as a team. They cheer for each other, give advice on how to improve their routines and are doing the little things that will make our team stronger at the end of the season. It has been fun. They’re a great bunch of girls to work with everyday.” concluded Kjos.
