Wildcats defeat North Branch, then finish 3rd at Irondale
Competing at North Branch, at halftime of the boys basketball game, the Chisago Lakes and North Branch dance teams gave the fans something to cheer about.
To two teams went head-to-head, a contest that Chisago won, but not by much.
With that win under their belt, the Wildcats then finished the week last Saturday competing at the Irondale Winter Carnival. In all, six teams took part in the meet, including North Branch. Chisago Lakes took third place overall in the jazz/funk competition, finishing behind Andover and Orono. The Vikings did not place.
The meet also featured JV squads. Competing in their final meet of the season, the Chisago JV team placed second behind only Totino-Grace. A total of four JV teams competed.
Up next, the Wildcats will compete at Edina on Saturday before sections begin. The section meet is slated for February 12 at Chisago Lakes. The ‘Cats will dance first in the jazz/funk division, beginning at 2:15 pm.
