Celebration of the Lakes photo contest winners chosen
We have finally picked our Celebration of the Lakes Photo Contest winners. We received more than usual this year thanks to you the readers. The winner will be published in the County Press 2005 Community Guide and will be used for various advertisements for next year’s celebration.
Congratulations to Tom Almond, Heather Broadway and Jill Anderson. All three submitted terrific photos that capture the true feeling of the Celebration of the Lakes. Please call us here at the Press at 651-257-5115 to collect your prizes. And to all who submitted photos and didn’t win, thank you and hopefully next year we will be printing your photos!
I hope you made it through the winter so far without catching one of those nasty flu bugs. I can’t remember the flu ever being so rampant in our neck of the woods.
The flu has made its way through the Press a couple of times already and seems to be coming back for thirds. It makes you wonder if it has anything to do with our weird weather all winter. Maybe our bodies never got a chance to fully adjust to it being cold.
We are putting the final touches on our annual Home, Garden, Business & Sports Show tab. We still have a few open spots for advertising. If you would like to get your business message out there please call us here at the Press. We will work with you to find the right advertising for your business.
If you are thinking about being in the Home Show you can still call Community Ed at 213-2600, they will be happy to assist you. If you are interested in being in the Sports Show you can call Chris at 257-8694. Last year’s shows were a huge success, and this year promises to be even better.
Congratulations to the Chisago Lakes Dance Team for advancing to the state competition. Coach Bennett and the girls have worked their tails off all year. Now they will get to show their skills on the biggest stage. Good luck Dance Team!
