Gladys Soltau died Feb. 9, 2005. She was born June 27, 1913, at Barron County, Wis., to parents, Jacob and Margareta Jackson.

She graduated from Barron High School in 1931. Gladys married Edwin Soltau at Almena, Wis., Sept. 14, 1933.

Her lifelong hobbies and interests included golf, crafts and sewing. On May 1987 she got a hole in one at Fountain of the Sun, in Meza, Arizona.

She is preceded in death by husband, Edwin; sons: Duane, Gail (infant); parents, Jacob and Margareta Jackson; great-granddaughter, Crystal; grandson-in-law, Jim Wilson; eight brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by daughters: Nancy Butte (Bob), Susann Boyd (Gary), nine grandchildren: Sheryl Peterson, Carolyn Wilson, Steve Soltau, David Soltau, Linda Dobbs, Michael Butte, Jennifer Ritterman, Spencer Jones, Jessica Boyd and 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services at Zion Lutheran Church, in Chisago City, Feb. 19, 2005, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Mike Peterson officiating. Interment at Lakewood Cemetery. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home.
