She was born to Eugene and Lida Preston Oct. 12, 1908 in Mohall, North Dakota.
She moved with her family to Fern Township, Hubbard County, and attended local grade school. After her father was killed in a hunting accident the family moved to Bemidji where she attended and graduated from high school, 1927. Agnes married Robert Cable, in St. Paul in 1928, and the family moved to Lower LaSalle Lake, Hubbard County, in 1932 where she and her husband operated a small resort. She became a believing Christian in 1934 through the witness of a lady missionary from the Oak Hills Fellowship. The family moved back to St. Paul during WWII, and then returned again to the family home on Lower LaSalle Lake after the war was over. She worked as the credit manager for Montgomery Ward and later was manager of the Green Stamp Redemption Center in Bemidji. After the death of Robert Cable in 1963 she married James Mullin, Rockwood Township, in 1968. He preceded her in death Jan. 9, 1978.
Surviving are her three children, the Rev. George Cable (Romelle) Lindstrom, Beverly Aultman, Bemidji, and Norma Hildebrand, Peoria, Arizona, 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, three great, great-grandchildren and adopted grandson, Bradley Mullin.
She dedicated her life to the Lord’s service, being a member of First Baptist Church of Bemidji for 30 years, and of the Chisago Lakes Baptist Church, Chisago City, 24 years. A memorial service for Agnes was held at the Chisago Lakes Baptist Church, Chisago City, Sunday, March 6. The funeral service was at First Baptist Church, Bemidji, Tuesday, March 8. Her son, the Rev. George Cable, officiated. Her grandsons served as the pallbearers. Memorials will go to the building fund of the Chisago Lakes Baptist Church. Burial in the Greenwood Cemetery, Bemidji.
