Luanne Benson finished second, Mark Buttweiler finished fourth and Henry Boeh was tenth in the region contest to advance to state, all advancing for the second straight year.
The three students moved on to the Minnesota State High School Mathematics League tournament March 14 at Eagan High School. They competed in a group of the 400 best math league students from across the state.
This was the 21st annual state math tournament. It was founded by Wayne Roberts at Macalester College.
The Chisago Lakes team is coached by CLHS math teacher Kristy Skarphol.
The Chisago Lakes High School Math League team had another successful year, recently competing at region competition.
