It appears we are close to the end of the emotional Terri Schiavo ordeal. Sunday she received the last sacrament for the sick and dying. What an emotional rollercoaster it has been for all involved. When you listen to her husband speak about what they have discussed in the past, it is somewhat easier to see his side. And at the same time, you can definitely see her parents’ side. I pray to God I never have to make a decision like that in my lifetime.
The sad part of all this is that it could be avoided by one simple living will. A living will is easy to fill out and costs usually about a couple of hundred dollars. Can you imagine putting your family through all what has transpired with the Schiavo case? Whether your wishes are to be kept alive or to be let go, a living will will help avert any possible controversy. There are plenty of good attorneys around the area that would be more than happy to assist you with a living will.
