Deborah A. Sokol, age 40, of Shafer, died April 28, 2005, after years of illness.

She was born May 7, 1964, in St. Paul, and was raised in Scandia.

Deb was close to her family and had a love of animals, especially horses and dogs. She was a natural horseman.

Deb is survived by her parents, James and Sylvia Sokol; siblings: Tyna (Brett) Larson, Edmund (Sharon) Sokol and Dean Sokol; nieces and nephews: Amber and Brandon Larson, Nicholas and Christopher Sokol, Alicia and Michael Sokol; special friends: J.D. and Bo.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m., Wednesday May 4, 2005, at Grandstrand Funeral Home, in Lindstrom. Private family interment.

Special thanks to all her friends, neighbors, doctors and nurses at Region's and St. Croix Hospitals and Sunrise Health Care that helped her through everything and helped her cope.
