Gustavus Adolphus College golfer Jordan Hawkinson earned all conference honors with a second place finish at the 2005 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Championships. The Championships were held October 1-2 at Bunker Hills Golf Course in CoonRapids, Minnesota.

Hawkinson fired a one-under 71 on the second day. That score was the second lowest score recorded in the tournament. As a team, the Gusties placed second, 11 shots behind champion Saint John’s.

A sophomore from Lindstrom, Mn, Hawkinson shot a 36-hole total of 147 (76-71, +3), to tie teammate Clayton Johnson for second place individually. Hawkinson finished five shots behind individual champion Joe Daly of Saint John’s who fired a 36-hole total of 73-69-142. The top ten finishers at the MIAC Championships are named to the all-conference team.

Hawkinson posted three top ten finishes in four tournaments this fall and compiled a stroke average of 75.1.

Gustavus wrapped up its fall schedule by hosting the Twin Cities Classic at three different metro area courses.
