Concurrent enrollment courses are sponsored through the Cambridge Campus of Anoka Ramsey Community College.
High school instructors teach the courses that are approved and monitored by Cambridge Campus staff.
CLHS offers college level Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Psychology, and Sociology. Students must meet certain class rank requirements and pass a placement exam to participate in the course.
Advance Placement (AP) courses are sponsored through the College Board and students must pass a rigorous exam in order to be considered for college credit. The AP program has a national reputation for preparing students for the demands of college.
CLHS offers AP English Literature, AP US History, and AP Biology. The high school will continue to expand their AP offerings in the near future.
The third type of college level courses are articulated. These courses are designed for students who may pursue post-secondary education in a technical field. CLHS students who earn a “B” or higher in specific courses will earn Tech Prep College Credit.
These credits are sponsored through Century College. Students must attend Century College to receive this credit.
CLHS is continuing to pursue additional articulation courses, the current courses that meet articulation requirements are; Auto Mechanics II, Child Development II, Fashion Merchandising, Health Care, Mechanical Drafting, Computer Applications, and Desktop Publishing.
Students or parents who have questions regarding college credit in the high school should contact their student’s school counselor.
