CLHS teams rising to challenges of competing in new conference
All one had to do to evaluate the North Suburban was to look at the representation in many of the state tournaments.
For example, this winter Cooper was the 4A runner up in boy’s basketball and Benilde/St. Margaret’s was the 3A champion in girl’s basketball. Spring Lake Park and Totino-Grace came in first and second in the 2A Dance.
Everything considered, our programs are rising to the challenges and enjoying the excellent competition. Other advantages that the North Suburban Conference has provided for our school include less travel distance to games and better coverage in the metro media.
Spring sports can be a most enjoyable time for spectators. All are welcome to come and watch softball, baseball, track, golf and boys tennis. What could be better on a nice sunny spring day than watching our kids perform? Admission is free to all regular season spring events.
For up to the minute game times please check our schedules at chisagolakes.k12.mn.us. Click on school activities and all of the schedules can be found along with forms and information for next year’s activities. The schedule site has a “notify me” feature that will send you an e-mail if a game has been rescheduled. It will even send you a reminder about up and coming events such as parent/teacher conferences or choir/band concert.
Also, mark your calendars for the Fall Sports information meeting on Wednesday, August 9 at 6:30 p.m. and for the Don Irwin concert on Sunday, October 1 at 4 p.m.
Hope to see you at the games.
