James L. Turrittin, age 65, of Chisago City, died April 17, 2006, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jim was born August 29, 1940, in St. Paul, to parents James and Charlotte Turrittin. He attended Central High School.

He married Mary M. Rousslang January 21, 1961, at St. Ceceilia Church in St. Paul.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Charlotte Turrittin; grandfather, Dickman (Harriet), uncle, Bud Dickman and uncle, Irvin Stechel.

Jim is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary; son, Timothy (Julie); daughter, Cynthia Gabert (Jerry Brown); grandchildren: Amanda, Lucas and Crystal Gabert; Allan Turrittin and Tina (Roberto) Rios; aunt, Dorothy Stechel.

Jim was an Employee of Briggs Transportation and Wisconsin DNR and a member of Teamsters Union Local 120.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m., Saturday April 22, 2006, at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Lindstrom. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Friday at Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom and one hour prior to service at church. Interment at Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom.
