Services at First English Lutheran Church, Faribault, Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., with the Reverend Richard L. Jorgensen officiating. Interment was at German Lake Cemetery, rural Waterville. Visitation is at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Joyce Lynn, the daughter of Melvin A. and Phyllis J. (Beer) Tolzman, was born November 11, 1947, at New Prague. She was baptized November 30, 1947, and confirmed on March 26, 1961, at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, LeCenter.
She graduated from McKinley High School in LeCenter in 1965 and from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in Minneapolis in 1966. Joyce accepted a position as Lab Technician for the Chisago Lakes Hospital (now part of the Fairview system) in Lindstrom. She retired in 1998 after 32 years, 28 of which were spent as Director of the Lab.
Joyce moved to Faribault in December 2001 to be closer to her family. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 43 of Faribault and First English Lutheran Church, Faribault.
Survivors include her daughter, Stacy (and Shelly) Norrbom of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; a sister, Judith (and Richard) Otto, of Ft. Worth, TX; two brothers: Harry (Randee) Tolzman, of Waterville, and Alan (Rebecca) Tolzman, of LaCrescent; nine nieces and nephews, and numerous friends and relatives in the Chisago City, Lindstrom, Faribault and LeCenter areas.
She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
