The 200 medley relay team, Boo, McGurk,Novak and D. Willhite took first in 1:57.40 and J. Donahue, Eagan, K. Roggeman and Karwand finished second. Karwand, Gralish, Spehar and H. Heggerston won the 200 relay in 1:40.78. They finished ahead of Mueller, Roggeman, Charlie Kopp and A. Willhite. K. Roggeman, Brody Heggerston, A. Willhite and H. Heggerston (3:51.53) finished before teammates J. Donahue, Mueller, Spehar and Boo in the 400 relay.
In the closest race of the day, Mark Eagan(2:22.50) finished the 200 IM .09 seconds in front of Tom McGurk. Tyler Schuler completed the Wildcat sweep.
Luke Spehar (1:00.05) beat Cameron Novak and Kevin Roggeman to the finish of the 100 butterfly.
Hunter Heggerston (55.14) led the sweep of the 100 freestyle. Cody Gralish and Ethan Karwand finished behind him.
The sweep of the 100 backstroke was led by John Donahue (1:04.47). Mark Eagan and Novak finished before any Hawks.
Tom McGurk (1:08.70), Dave Willhite and Tyler Schuler finished 1,2,3 in the 100 breast stroke.
Steve Boo had two firsts. He won the 50 freestyle (25.04) and the 500 freestyle (5:50.34). Andrew Turner took first in the 200 freestyle (2:05.72) and Andy Willhite won the diving event (218.95).
Wildcats who finished second included Ethan Karwand (50 freestyle) and Andrew Jokinen (500 freestyle). Andy Willhite (200 freestyle) and Tom McCulloch (diving) finished third.
“The kids are looking forward to cutting back on the yardage to taper for sections,” said Wildcat head coach Jim Sauerbry.
The Wildcats finish their regular season by hosting Columbia Heights tonight (February 9) and the Chisago Lakes Invitational Saturday, February 10 at 1:30 pm.
