David F. Bleifuss, age 85, was born in Rochester, Minn., Dec. 23, 1920. He graduated from Stewartville High School in 1938 and lived in southeastern Minnesota area until he entered the Army Air Force, WWII, where he served mostly in the Southwest Pacific. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7627. He came to the Lindstrom area in 1946 and operated a dairy farm near Sunrise Lake for 15 years and then was employed by Univac, of Roseville, for 25 years.

He is preceded in death by wife, Evelyn (Nelson) of 27 years, and infant daughter, Susan Marie; brother, James and wife, Helen and brother, William.

He is survived by wife, Lenore and his sons: Thomas (Priscilla), of St. Lake City, Utah, and Steven (Kaori) and grandson, Michael, and granddaughter, Reina, of Ardsley, New York; Lenore’s daughter, Donna D’Amalfi and son, Bruce (Cheryl) D’Amalfi and grandchildren, Adam and David. He is also survived by brother, Rodney (Meredith), of Grand Rapids, Minn., and many nieces and nephews.

In retirement he was a volunteer driver and along with family activities he enjoyed bowling, golf and tennis.

Funeral service 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 10, 2006, at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, Center City. Visitation 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 9, at Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom, 257-4000, and also one hour prior to service at church. Private family interment.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to family.
