“The girls are working very hard trying to get ready for the section meet at Mahtomedi (Friday, February 17),” said Wildcat head coach Brett Kjos.
“We had many personal bests at the meet against Hudson. In the vault, Stephanie Boettcher set a new personal record (8.8) and Alex Thomsen tied her personal best (8.2). On the bars, Cassie Peltier set a new PR (7.15). On the balance beam, Stephanie set another PR with a score of (8.45). Cassie Peltier also set PR on beam (7.6). On the floor, Britni Harris set a new PR (9.35) and Andrea Olson (8.3). The girls are doing a fantastic job.” Kjos continued.
Chisago Lakes vs. St. Croix Falls
The Wildcats got their second win of the week by beating St. Croix Falls 132.500 to 100.650 Thursday, February 9, also at home.
“Another great night for our team against St. Croix Falls,” coach Kjos commented. “Alex Thomsen was hurt in practice and could not compete. The girls who filled in for her (Cassie Peltier and Sasha Schoen) really stepped up and performed awesome. Britni Harris had a truly fantastic meet. She set a new personal record in the all-around (36.375) and set new PR’s on vault (9.225) bars (9.0) and on the beam (9.05). Awesome, just awesome! Stephanie Boettcher also set a new PR on the Floor (8.9).”
