The fortunes of the North Branch gymnastics team have been looking up recently. The girls won at St. Louis Park Tuesday, January 31 and set a school record at home Thursday, February 2 against St. Anthony.

At St. Louis Park, the Vikings won all four events on the way to a 123.35-105.4 win over the Orioles. Two nights later, they swept the four events, again and set a new school standard in a 129.35-124.825 win over St. Anthony. The previous school record, 128.3 was established in the 1986 season, when current AD Becky Leuer was the head coach.

Congratulations to coach Holly Saunders and her team. They are scheduled to participate in the Section 7A meet at 6 pm Friday, February 17 at Mahtomedi.
