Her family moved to Knox, Indiana, when she was 4-years-old and then on to East Chicago, Indiana at age 9.
Florence graduated from East Chicago Roosevelt in 1934 and then attended Hammond Standard Business College.
She married Arthur F. Brown June 22, 1940, at St. Paul's United Lutheran Church in East Chicago, Indiana.
Florence worked for Edward Value Co. while Art served in the Navy. She also worked for Etling, Etling & Kustka CPA and Purdue University Columet Campus. They made their home in Hammond, Indiana and were charter members of Christ Lutheran Church in Hammond. They moved to Lindstrom, Minnesota in 1977.
Florence danced with the Ki-Chi-Saga Swedish Dancers and was active in the Martha Circle at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom. Art died in 1986 and she continued to live in their townhome until her health needs increased.
She moved to Country Comfort Care Center in November 2004.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Art.
She is survived by two daughters Christine (Paul) Bjorklund, of Lindstrom, and Candace (Bradd) MacCameron, of Tuscon, Arizona; four grandchildren: Amy, Scott, Eric and Anna-Lisa; five greatgrandchildren; two sisters: Gunda Diehl, of Munster, Indiana and Jane Berggren, of Rockford, Illinois; nieces, nephews and special friend, Ruben Hoffmann.
Funeral service 11 a.m., Friday, July 28, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom, Minn.
Visitation one hour prior to service at church. Interment Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom. Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral home in Lindstrom, Minnesota.
