Summer brings community celebrations once again

Our local businesses are celebrating a couple of milestones this spring. Pizza Man Pizza owned by Steve Kriz, is proud to be celebrating their 10 year anniversary serving the community. For 10 years they have been putting out exceptional pizza in a timely manner and we would like to congratulate them and wish them another successful 10 years.

Another milestone anniversary is being celebrated by Bachman Photography. They have been taking our communities pictures for 20 years this June. If you have ever met Rich or Sherri, you know what wonderful people they are and how much they do for the community. Congratulations for a great 20 years and hopefully for another 20.

Lastly, there is another business celebrating a monumental anniversary. Wild Mountain Boat Tours is celebrating their 100 year anniversary––100 years. Can you believe it? What a terrific staple to the community they have been and continue to be. Who hasn’t taken one of their beautiful paddleboat tours of the St. Croix River. If you are new to the area, or if you have wanted to try a boat tour, I would definitely recommend it.

If you see any of these business owners around the area, make a point to say thanks. Thanks for making our little community so special and different than other communities.

The Chisago Lakes area is quickly coming upon the “busy” season in terms of celebrations. For Lindstrom, Chisago City, Taylors Falls and Center City, July is the month that you will be able to take in a celebration virtually every week. North Branch is hosting its Midsummer Days next week to kick off the summer festivities. As always, these celebrations, as wonderful as they are, would not be possible if it were not for a few dedicated, tireless individuals. If you would like to volunteer your time at any capacity for one or more of these celebrations, it would be most appreciated. Call Brenda or Kelly at the Chamber of Commerce to find out how to volunteer.

Our daughter took part last weekend in a dance recital at the senior high. Let me just say, what a wonderful job Sue does with all of these children. Every class did so great and the outfits were terrific. Between the two dance studios here in the area, we really have some wonderful teachers and dancers.
