If you are like me, with all this warm weather, you are starting to think about upcoming summer projects. The annual Home, Garden & Business Show is just your ticket. It takes place this weekend at Chisago Lakes High School on Saturday and Sunday. Doors open at 11 a.m. both days.

At the show you will find almost every business in our area that offers you services of some sort. There will be seminars held both days where you can learn about landscaping, financial planning, insurance, eye care, mortgages, pest control and more.

If you are looking for a new lawn mower, new kitchen cabinets, a new dock, gutters, or want to look for a chiropractor, they are all at the show. Last week we printed the Home Show insert which you should have received with your Search Shopper. If you have lost yours or would like a new one, please stop in the Press and pick one up. In it you will find a list and map along with advertising of all the terrific businesses that make our community so special.

Once again, the Chisago Lakes Community Ed and the Chisago Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce have worked their tails off to make this year’s show even better than before. We hope to see you at the show!

There are still unclaimed prizes in the Celebration of the Lakes button drawing. The numbers once again are: 1354, 0204, 1153, 1015, and 1197. Make sure you check your button numbers. We have received around five entries in our Search Logo Contest. I know there are a lot of creative people in our area. This would be a great opportunity to show the world your creative talents. Maybe you are a student planning on attending college for graphic design. Wouldn’t that look great on your resume? Please keep sending them in, time is running out.
