A few years back the National Basketball Association had a slogan: “N.B.A. basketball – it’s fantastic.” This slogan could also be applied to the Chisago Lakes Area’s three elementary schools.

Each day the staffs at Primary, Lakeside, and Taylors Falls greet close to 1,600 students and welcome them into their classrooms. These dedicated professionals not only educate but also help to mold these young people into the future citizens of our society.

Our goals are simple. Learn to read then read to learn. Worlds of opportunity become available to a child when they open a book. Reading opens up all of the subjects they will take during their years in school.

In our elementaries we provide the foundation for the house of education to be built on. We try to build that foundation with the best research-based material that is available. Sometimes we do need to make adjustments to fit individual needs but our focus remains the same. Students are our business.

I would like to invite you to visit any of our elementary schools. We welcome the chance to show you our program. Parents are an important part of the educational journey. Your time as volunteers in our schools not only helps the students but our staffs as well.

Our parent organizations partner with the schools to enhance all of our programs. We could not do as well without their help.
