George Edward Gibson, age 84, of Harris, Minn., formerly of St. Paul, Minn., died March 17, 2006.

George was born Oct. 28, 1921, in St. Paul, Minn., to parents, Edward and Frances (Tronstrom) Gibson.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger Gibson, and sister, Elaine Gibson.

George is survived by wife of 50 years, Rose Marie (Schuster) Gibson; sons: George J. (Barbara), Wayne, John (Debbie), Michael (Jill) and Monte (Debbie); and grandchildren: Michael Collier, Trent (Katy) Zilmer, Jessica and Brittney Gibson, Adam and Madison Gibson and Alexandria Gibson; step-grandsons: Nick Severson, Gus and Dan Gibson; great-grandsons: Jacob and Bradley Collier.

George is a veteran of WWII and member of VFW Post 1350, plus was a 40-year employee of Northern Pacific, Great Northern and Burlington Northern Railroads.

Mass of Christian Burial is Saturday, March 25, 2006, at 11 a.m., at St. Gregory’s Catholic Church, in North Branch. Visitation one hour before services at the church. Interment at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, in North Branch. Arrangements by the Grandstrand Funeral Home, in North Branch.
