Christian LeRoy Nelson, age 78, of Lindstrom, died March 26, 2006.

Chris was born February 9, 1928, in Vermillion, South Dakota, to parents Lewis and Cora (Fisher) Nelson.

He enjoyed playing golf, cards, fishing, gardening, cooking and also going out to eat at new restaurants. He enjoyed life and his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Chris is a Army veteran from WWII.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Florence E. Nelson.

Chris is survived by his stepsons: Dennis (Sandra) Patrias and Gerald Patrias; step-grandchildren: Jennifer (Josh) Lee and Scott Patrias; step-great grandchildren: Lauryn, McKenna and Isabelle Lee.

Funeral service is 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 30, 2006, at the Margaret S. Parmly Chapel in Chisago City. Visitation one hour before the service at the Parmly Chapel. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
