Wow, time really does fly. There is only a short time left to take advantage of our early renewal offer. We have made it easy to save you $1.50. All you have to do is clip out the convenient form found on the top of page 2 of this edition, send or bring it in, along with your payment. Please be sure to include your printed mailing label so that we will have all the correct information we need to assure that your renewal gets credited properly.

In the coming weeks, we will be mailing out renewal notices to all those who did not take advantage of our early renewal special. I need to remind you that all subscriptions expire May 1 of each year, and if you have not renewed prior to May 1, your delivery will stop until you do renew.

All of us here at the County Press appreciate each and every subscriber and hope that we can continue to earn your support by making this a better newspaper. We hope you renew soon so that you do not miss any newspapers.

Now that the legislature is back in full swing, I thought I would share something with you. There is a Minnesota Legislature website that the public can access that is amazingly easy to maneuver and understand. If you go to www.leg.state.mn.us you will find everything your elected officials are working on up on capital hill. You can view every potential bill being introduced to the legislature. For an outsider who is not politically suave (like myself), but likes to know what is going on, it is the perfect website.

If you are a basketball fan you must have thought you died and went to heaven last weekend. Everywhere you turned there was basketball. High school, college, pros, it was unavoidable. I enjoy watching basketball especially around March, but thankfully there was a giant fireball in the sky that pried me away from the tube and egged me into cleaning the garage.

If you are the parent of a toddler, then you are excited (as am I) about the upcoming holiday. No, I am not talking about Easter. I am referring to daylight savings. This Saturday night we have to set our clocks ahead one hour. You might ask what is so good about that? Well, the young ones in my house can’t seem to grasp what a clock represents. No, they think they are roosters and have to be up at the crack of light. Thank you daylight savings.
