The North Branch track teams participated in the Cambridge-Isanti Invitational Saturday, April 29. The boys finished second and the girls third against some excellent competition in the 10 school event.

“The conditions were very cold and rainy. Despite the conditions, we had some excellent performances. Those conditions show who can keep their focus and are there to compete. It was very exciting to see that our kids were there to compete and not to worry about the weather conditions,” said North Branch head coach Brian Hasleiet.

According to the coach, the performances of the 4x800 relay teams were highlights for the Vikings. The girls’ team is Tiffany Peterson, Haley Hasleiet, Ali Zimmerman and Miranda Charley. Aaron Cedergren, JJ Koerber, Cody Good and Nick Ramberg make up the boys’ team.

“Both the girls’ and boys’ 4x800 teams won at Cambridge. The girls’ team broke the school record and the boys went to number three on our all-time list at North Branch,” the coach added.
