If you are looking for something to break up your week and add a little spice, then be sure to check out Lindstrom’s Ladies Nite Out tonight (Thursday). Lindstrom has been hosting Ladies Nite Out for years and it just keeps getting better and better. This year’s theme is western, so dress appropriately. You and your friends can make your way around town collecting trinkets from local businesses. If dressed in western wear, you will receive an additional gift. There will be refreshments, games, and registrations for prizes. If you fill your card (pick up at any participating business) up with 10 stamps or more, you will be entered into the grand prize drawing. Make a point to get out and experience Ladies Nite Out. I think you are really going to enjoy it.

If you have driven in the area lately, you have noticed some new businesses popping up. If you are into gift shops, check out Carroll Creek Primitives and Gifts. They have a wide variety of handcrafts and art mixed with antiques and other neat stuff.

As everyone already probably knows judging by the cars in front, there is a new restaurant in Lindstrom. Tortilla’s is a new Mexican restaurant in between Wally Carlson’s and Totally You Salon. I finally had a chance to dine there last week. The food was really good. It is nice to have yet another choice of food right here in our area. We are lucky to have so many great restaurant choices so close to home.

This week my family will reach a milestone, but I am not sure if it is a happy or sad milestone. Our youngest is graduating from pre-school Thursday night. I know it’s not like she is graduating high school or college or grad school, but none the less our family is not getting any younger. First she is graduating pre-school and the next thing you know she will be borrowing money to buy a pair of pants that everybody has to have even though they look like someone else already “had to have had.”

My entire life was filled with my parents saying, “Enjoy life, because it flies by in the blink of an eye,” –– how true.
