“The girls team really showed its depth on Friday. We had some girls out with some minor injuries and our girls still performed very well,” said North Branch head coach Brian Hasleiet.
Kelsey O’Hern got the Vikings off to a fast start with a first in the 100m hurdles. Other firsts came from Ali Zimmerman (1600m), the 4x100 meter relay team, Miranda Charley (800m), Sara Swanson (200m), Shelly Oehlers (discus) and Trissica Bye (pole vault). The NB girls also picked up six second place finishes and four thirds on their way to the win.
Ryan Decorsey (pole vault) and Nick Ramberg took firsts for the Viking boys. “Nick Ramberg had a great race in the 1600 run. His time of 4:22 is excellent for this time of the year and is 16 seconds better than his best last year,” Hasleiet added.
