Wildcat and Viking golf teams at Pebble Creek in North Suburban Conference Tournament
The scores on Thursday went a long way toward determining the final conference standings. Spring Lake Park (9 points) and Benilde St. Margaret’s (8 points) led in the conference standings going into the final day. Benilde (176+178=354) won both nines to jump ahead of Spring Lake Park to win the conference championship.
The CL Wildcats (202+187=389) played well enough to finish in fifth place in the meet and in the final NSC standings. Krista Liebsch led the way with a 97 (47+46). Jenna Merry was next with 97 (52+45), followed by Megan Corradi’s 99 (52+47) and Melissa Ubel’s 100 (51+49). Krista Swanson (53+56=109) and Jamie Tschida (57+57=114) completed the scoring for the Wildcats.
The North Branch team was led by the junior threesome of Lacee Scherer (51+49=100), Amy Aho (53+48=101) and Kelsey Johnson (48+54=102). Eighth Grader Katie Foley continued her improvement with a career best 107 (51+56). Juniors Jeni Farr (62+62=124) and Hope Chenevert (69+63=132) rounded out the Viking roster.
