Charlotte Marion Herberg, lifelong resident of Shafer, Minn., age 73, died Sept. 10, 2006.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Marion; her brother, Bud; and her son, Thomas.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Leland; and her sons: Wesley (Sheryl), Wayne (Elizabeth), daughter-in-law, Rose-marie; and six grandchildren: Adam, Ethan, Heather, Samantha, Elena and Andrew.

Charlotte was a bookkeeper for 30 years for Rivard’s Oil Company and 11 years for Hazelden Foundation. She was treasurer of Shafer Township for 31 years and school bus driver at Taylors Falls for 20 years.

She was active in her church, Red Hat Club, quilting, gardening and loving and caring for her family and friends. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.

Funeral service is Friday, 2 p.m., at First Lutheran Church, Taylors Falls, Minn. Visitation Thursday, 5-8 p.m., Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom, and also one hour prior to service.
