Quinten A. Rossow, beloved father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and dear friend to so many, age 79, of Lindstrom, passed away at his home April 22, 2007, surrounded by his loving family.

Quinten was born to Art and Rosebud Rossow, of Flasher, ND. He grew up and worked on the farm there until 1966 and then moved to Minnesota and purchased a meat market in Taylors Falls and began his career as a butcher. From there he moved his business to Shafer, Minn.

During his years of business, he also began driving school bus for Chisago Lakes, which he truly enjoyed and loved. Quinten spent a lot of his devoted time at Chisago Lakes sports events and was the #1 fam for many, many years.

He loved spending his time hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, playing cards and being with his friends and family. He was known for his warm and caring smile which will be missed by so many.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, in Farmington, Wis., and was a Mason for 50 plus years and was very proud to be from North Dakota.

Quinten is preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Rosebud, and sister, Ila Longnecker.

He is survived by children: Georgie (Rick) Johnson, Perry (Cindy) and Rick (Kim), and Cheri (Dale) Hibbs; nine grandchildren: Chad, Jodie, Joshua, Justin, Melia, Jeremy, Ben, Brandyn and Kyle; one great-granddaughter, Micheala; siblings: Donna Nesset, Lois Huncovsky, Ruth (Roger) Wenger, Richard (Judy), Clifford (Connie), Lloyd (Carol) and Jeannie (Don) Roy; and many nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to his extended family the Herbie Dorr's and George Bierbrauer and all of his loving friends and the great care given by Dr. Rebecca Lyman and the staff at Regions Hospital.

Funeral service 11 a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2007, at Zion Lutheran Church, Farmington, Wis. Visitation 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom (651-257-4000) and one hour prior to serve at church. Burial at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 28, at Fairhill Cemetery, Flasher, ND, meeting at United Church of Christ at 11 a.m. prior. Memorials preferred to family.
