Loren is preceded in death by father, Henphen; mother, Selma; daughter Susan and grandson Jeff.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ida Mae; daughters: Barbara (Robert) Buss, Kathleen (Edward) Ekdahl and Nancy (Gordon) Carlson; grandchildren: Brian (April) Buss, Brenda (Brandon) Wicklund, Chris Ekdahl, Corbin Ekdahl, Justin (Ellen) Carlson, Cortney (Kelly) Carlson, Brandon Carlson, John Maypack and Jody Moore; great-grandchildren: Bryant, Lauren, Hunter, Nicholas, Madelynn and Logan.
Loren was born June 21, 1921. He graduated from Chi-Hi in 1940. He married Ida Mae Dec. 8, 1943. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard in WWII.
Loren was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He will be deeply missed by all.
Loren worked with his father in excavating and trucking, starting at the early age of 15. He later pursued a career as a security guard with 3M. After retirement, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. Loren also enjoyed woodworking projects.
Funeral service is Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, Center City. Visitation 4-8 p.m., Tuesday at Grandstrand Funeral Home, Lindstrom and also one hour prior at church. Burial at Hillside Cemetery, Center City.
