"I thought we did a great job, despite missing our top-two all-around gymnasts," said Wildcat head coach Brett Kjos.
Fridley at Chisago Lakes
Thursday, December 6 the Wildcats earned a 125.550-114.250 win over Fridley at the CLMS gym.
Wildcat senior Britni Harris, in her first competition of the season, won the vault, balance beam, floor exercise and all-around events and was second to teammate Sam Thomsen on the uneven bars. Thomsen, an eighth grader, was second in the all-around, third on the floor and fourth in the vault. Senior Andrea Olson chipped in with a second (floor), a third (vault) and three fourth-place finishes for the 'Cats.
"It was nice to have Britni and Andrea back," Kjos commented. "We had trouble staying on the beam and trouble on the bars. These should improve as the season progresses."
The Wildcats will host the Chisago Lakes Invitational at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 15. Tuesday, December 18 CL travels to Forest Lake to compete against the Rangers, Centennial and Cambridge. The quadrangular starts at 6 p.m.
