Every year, Taylors Falls Elementary provides a way to give to those in our area who are less fortunate by providing a Giving Tree in the lobby of the school.

This year's tree was once again donated by Steve and Betsy Sangren of Lindstrom. The Giving Tree was organized and set up in the lobby by committee members: Betty Hopkins, Laura Greene, Kathy Stephensen, John Romportl, and Mike Moberg.

Boxes were placed under the tree for collecting winter clothing, toys, books, games, school supplies, and non perishable food items. Every year the parents and children of Taylors Falls Elementary do a wonderful job of providing for those in our area who are in need during the Christmas season. Last year over 500 pounds of food, much clothing, many boxes of books and toys including a bike and a skateboard, were donated.

This year the non perishable food items and cash collected are being given to Family Pathways and then distributed to local families who have a need. The winter clothing, toys, and books are going to the Anonymous Santa Program in Chisago County, which has provided "Christmas with Dignity" for local children of families in crisis for more than 25 years.

The Taylors Falls Staff would like to thank the parents and their children for their generous donations again this year. Because of their generosity, more people will have a joyous holiday season.
