TOTINO-GRACE
QUADRANGULAR
Blowout wins over Park Center and Patrick Henry bookended a Wildcat loss to the host team at the Totino Grace Quadrangular Thursday, December 20.
The Wildcats had eight pins against an overmatched Park Center team on the way to an easy 76-3 win.
Chisago Lakes trailed Totino Grace 17-3 after the first four weights, then won four of the next five weights to pull within 23-21. But the Eagles, one of the top teams in the North Suburban Conference, won the next three matches to take a 40-21 lead and clinch the win. Troy Montague (215) and Tony Gall (285) won the last two individual matches to make the final score Totino Grace 40, Chisago Lakes 33.
Patrick Henry forfeited at seven weights as the Wildcats quickly dispatched their undermanned opponent 54-9. The score was held down as the Wildcats forfeited at three weights that Patrick Henry forfeited; such "double forfeits" result in no points being awarded to either team.
