The Chisago Lakes swimming and diving team continued its winning ways leaving St. Louis Park in its wake 103-78 at the CL pool Thursday, January 25.

The Wildcats took first place in seven of 12 events and swept the first three places in diving for the win. Individually, Hunter Heggerston had two wins and swam the anchor leg on two winning relay teams for the 'Cats. Teammates Tom McGurk and John Donahue each had a first and were part of a relay win.

Heggerston won the 50 freestyle in 23.54 and the 100 freestyle in 52.52. Donahue took the 100 backstroke in 1:05.86 and McGurk won the 100 breast stroke in 1:06.09. the other Wildcat individual first went to Andy Willhite who won the diving with 267.0.

Donahue, McGurk, Kevin Roggemann and Heggerston won the 200 medley relay in 1:48.87. Brody Heggerston, Ethan Karwand, Steve Boo and Heggerston took first in the 200 freestyle relay by finishing in 1:39.67. B. Heggerston, Karwand, Dave Willhite and Boo were second in the 400 freestyle relay.

Other seconds went to Boo (200 freestyle and 500 freestyle), McGurk (200 individual medley), Roggemann (100 butterfly) Alex Vitalis (diving) and Alex Lundberg (100 backstroke).

Individual thirds were earned by Mark Eagan, Andrew Jokinen, Jack Vasatka and Dave Donahue. Three CL relay teams took thirds. The 200 IM team (Lundberg, Eagan, D.Willhite and Karwand), the 200 freestyle team (A. Willhite, Jake Spehar, Eagan and Roggemann) and the 400 freestyle team (A. Willhite, Spehar, Roggeman and J. Donahue) finished third.

The team completes its dual-meet season at Robbinsdale-Cooper Thursday, February 1 and at Columbia Heights Thursday, February 8.
