Donald W. Johnson, of Lindstrom, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2007, at Fairview Lakes Hospital, at the age of 78.

Don was born Sept. 29, 1928, in Taylors Falls, to J. Edwin and Celida Johnson. He attended school through the eighth grade. Jan. 22, 1951, he married Betty L. Price.

During the Korean War he served as a PFC in the U.S. Army. He worked in manufacturing for over 33 years. Don enjoyed camping, fishing and woodworking.

Don is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; and brother, Karl.

He is survived by his son, Randy; daughters: Patricia (Gene) Haider, Denise (Dale) Zebro, Tammy (Bruce) Pelava; grandchildren: Jamie Danielson, Jolene (Nate) Wille, Melissa (Jason) Martin, Christine (Aaron) Nascene, Mike (Jenny) Bergeron, Brooke Johnson, Brandon Johnson, Caitlin Zebro; great-grandchildren: Kaylee Bowen, Bo Wille, Maggie Wille, Jacob Martin, Taylor Martin; sister, Violet Norelius; and special friend, Joyce Sederstrom.

Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. Paul Bjorklund officiating. Music was provided by Christine Bjorklund and David Johnson. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery. Grandstrand Funeral Home handled arrangements.
