He gave a courageous battle against prostate/bone cancer.
Raymond is preceded in death by loving wife of 52 years, Laura Gladys.
He is survived by three sons: Ronald, Sheldon and Doug; two daughters: Revarae and Laurie; 13 grandchildren, great grandchildren and companion/friend, Virginia Shafer.
Raymond farmed as a boy then served his time in WWII. He always had good war stories to share with everyone. He was a proud worker of the Ford Motor Company for 30 years. After retirement he went to Rehbeins Sod Farm to work some more mowing grass. Raymond loved to travel, camp, fish and go to flee markets and garage sales. He showed everyone his collections of baseball hats, belt buckles and was also an avid gun collector. He also had a passion for horses and dogs.
Raymond always said, "Life is short so enjoy it everyday."
He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Memorial services were held Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at Grandstrand Funeral Home, in North Branch. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery
