More than 200 family and friends were on hand to watch the ceremonies for 33 graduates. Graduate Alex Peterson and a fellow band member performed the pre-ceremony music for the crowd.
Speaking on the ceremony theme of "stories," Director Tracy Quarnstrom welcomed guests and grads and explained some of the possible stories of student backgrounds and why they chose distant learning for their high school education.
She also thanked the Chisago Lakes School District for its sponsorship of the charter school.
Student speaker Rebecca Nadeau, paraprofessional Sheryl Palmquist and teacher Stacy Bender also shared words of encouragement during the ceremony. Teacher Kelly Legg sang musical selections.
During the presentation of diplomas, teachers Sandra Flint and Kris Sanders shared each students' future plans, their favorite quotes, why they chose distance education and their favorite memories of Wolf Creek.
Other board members and staff taking part in the ceremony included: board chair Thomas Plocher, vice chair Jeffrey Vitali, clerk/treasurer and teacher representative Brenda Swanson and teacher representative Sandra Flint. After the ceremony, the school sponsored a reception for graduates and their guests at the Lindstrom City Hall.

TRIO Wolf Creek is an online charter high school, located in Chisago City. The school has a computer lab for local student use and is sponsored by Chisago Lakes School District. Because it is a charter school, it is free to attend. Many students come from the area surrounding Chisago City, but students attend from across the Twin Cities area and beyond, including Hibbing and Worthington.
