Oscar Peter Nicklason, age 78, of Forest Lake, formerly of Lindstrom, died, Friday, May 18, 2007.

He is preceded in death by his siblings, Ellen, Toni, Verna, David, Edgar, Otto, Gordon, Melvin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Merriam; children: Gail Nicklason (Carl Peikert Jr.), William Nicklason (Cathy Beil), Leland Nicklason; grandchildren: Angela Nicklason, Joseph Schuneman; great grandson Jon Thomas Johnson Jr.; sisters: Doris, Lillian, JoyAnn; many nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Funeral services are 3 p.m., Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation is 1-3 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home. Private family burial at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
