The North Branch cross country team ended its season at the Section 7AA Meet at Woodland Trails/Elk River Country Club Thursday, October 25. The Viking girls finished fourth in the 12-team, 4K race and the boys were eighth of 14 over the 5K course.

"We came up a little short of our goal this year at this meet," said North Branch head coach Brian Hasleiet, "but that happens in competition, sometimes. Every single one of our kids laid it on the line and gave it the best that they had today. As a coach, you can't ask for any more than that.

"I'm really proud of all of our kids and how well we competed this season. I want to thank all of our runners for all of their hard work and everything they did to make our program better this year. This truly was a season to remember for North Branch cross country," Hasleiet added.
