As head football coach Dave Eyre put it, "The North Branch Vikings went through a tough season as far as wins and losses go." The team went winless on the season, but, "Tough as it was, some good things came from it."

Commenting on the team's chances in 2008, the coach said, "We have a good, young team coming back next year. We return four out of five starting offensive linemen, a quarterback, offensive backfield and receiving corps with playing experience. Defensively, we have many players returning with experience. We have four linebackers with plenty of experience, D-backs and the bulk of our D-line. We still need to gain strength in the off-season, get faster and work hard to improve."

Eyre complimented his seniors when he said, "We still played hard and still came to practice every day. This type of leadership is a direct reflection on our seniors. A big thanks goes to them and we wish them the best of luck in their future endeavors."
