If you have driven the roads near Wyoming and Forest Lake, chances are you know or have seen Marv with his red coat and briefcase making his way to church or town. Marvin's witness for his Lord and unique style of humor will be missed by many in the Forest Lake area.
He is preceded in death by mother Josephine, stepfather Charles, father Ralph, sister Betty and brother David.
Marvin is survived by nephew Donald Gonser; niece Linda Stewart; nephew Richard (Carrie) Gonser; other nephews and nieces.
The family has requested if not able to attend Marvin's funeral service to please sign the online guestbook at www.mattsonfuneralhome.com and share a memory with them of Marvin.
Funeral service is at 12 p.m., Thursday, October 11, at Mattson Funeral Home, 343 N. Shore Drive, Forest Lake. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Twitchell Cemetery.
Marvin, like so many others who have selflessly served our country for our freedom, leaves behind a grateful nation. We invite you to share a personal sentiment about Marv in the permanent community memorial scrapbooks. Please visit the Help Honor a Veteran article on the News and Events page of our web site for more details.
